Course description:
A one-to-one programme of study is designed for the specific needs of the individual student. Classes are customised, and focus on specific areas that the student wishes to improve for their personal or work life. If you enrol on a private tuition programme, we will ask you to complete a Needs Analysis Form. You will then meet your personal tutor and discuss your needs, objectives and the problem areas that you want to improve on. Your personal tutor will prepare a tailored programme of study, focusing on your needs and personal learning style. This is a fast way of learning, and beneficial especially for English Exam Preparation and English for Specific Purposes.
One-to-one classes available:
General English (all levels from A0 to C2) - suitable for students who want to improve their knowledge, skills and confidence in using English. You can practise all the language skills, or choose a specific area that you wish to improve on, e.g. speaking.
Exam Preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE or IELTS) – designed to prepare the student with the exam techniques needed to successfully pass all the five communication skills: Reading, Writing, Use of English, Listening and Speaking. Key focus is on the techniques and question practice to ensure your success in your chosen exam.
Business English – designed to develop your English to enable you to succeed in your work environment. You will practise skills such as: communication (conversation, phone, email, letter writing), technical vocabulary, presentations, negotiations, and business correspondence.
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) – designed for you to communicate more effectively at work. Specialist subjects include: Technology, Medical, Legal, Sales and Marketing, Accounting and Human Resources.
