This course is aimed at adults,16 years old and above, who want to prepare for the internationally recognised IELTS Academic exam.The lessons focus on improving students’ general English and to prepare the student with the exam techniques required to successfully pass all the exam papers. The classes are small – no more than 10 students in a class. |

IELTS Academic
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is recognised as a reliable way of assessing the language skills of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. You will need IELTS if you want to:

Study at university at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, or
-
Join a professional organisation in an English-speaking country.
Course description:
The aim of the course is to help you to get the score you need to enter your chosen university or workplace. The lessons are designed to help you improve your oral and written skills needed to pass the four exam papers: listening, reading, writing and speaking. You will attend general English classes in the morning (15 hours per week) and IELTS Academic preparation lessons three afternoons (9 hours per week). For general English you will be placed in class according to your level. For IELTS you may be placed in a mixed-level group: B2 upper-intermediate and C1 advanced. We will test your level before you join the classes.
Your teacher will work with you on the exam techniques so that you develop the skills to handle all the components of the IELTS exam. You will also work with real exam papers and be given guidance and support on how to effectively complete them. Each student will have regular mock exams with detailed feedback provided by the teacher.
Please note that this class is open for students of level B2 and above.
The IELTS course helps our students:

- Practise speaking, writing, listening and reading
- Work on the accent, pronunciation and intonation
- Reduce exam anxiety and build confidence in handling all exam papers
- Receive individual feedback where your progress is reviewed and your goals are set.

Examination Fees
Examination fee for IELTS is around £190.
